How to defeat Evil Eyes

This is something we all go through, whether Born of God or not. The difference comes when the person either allows what they see or think to influence their behavior and hence take root in their heart or not.

The most practical and effective way i have found to defeat evil eyes is through the 'Maybe'

I will give a couple examples and show you how the 'Maybe' works

1. A close friend of yours gradually seems to be speaking to you less and less and it seems as though she/he even feels uncomfortable being with you. You, yourself have been finding hard to talk to him/her.

'Maybe' rather than just thinking of various possible reasons why this is happening, sit down with him/her and explain how you see things have been happening and find out why. You would be surprised the most silliest reasons!

2. You have noticed that a youth who has been in the youth group who has been attending for the same time or even less than you, is growing and is now the one calling your attention about things you are doing wrong (not in a disrespectful way but in a way to help). Now this youth is also being counted on with some responsibilities you have been wanting to do for a while.

'Maybe' rather than you looking at the youth and thinking "who do they think they are to talk to me like that, i have been here longer, it's unfair that they asked them to do that!" Look at yourself! Why are you still the same after being in the youth group for this long? What has this youth been doing that you are not doing? Humble yourself and speak to the youth, ask him what he has been doing to grow in his relationship with God. You would be surprised that this person does not even seek attention from the leaders etc, but rather focuses on their own personal relationship with God and therefore the same God working in the leaders shows the fruit of the youth. Seek for your encounter with God, focusing on developing your relationship with God.

3. You have been going through the same problem for a while now. You have cried out to God, spoken to people for advise even participated in campaigns and yet to no avail.

'Maybe' you are still holding on to something which is allowing this problem to remain such as the past, your own/old mentality about yourself or things, your feelings concerning things, grudges. 'Maybe' you don't even BELIEVE you can overcome the problem! Until you sacrifice these remnants that are still there, you will pray and cry and cry and yet see no results. The key to overcoming is SACRIFICE, do what you do not feel comfortable doing, take away the old and take on God's NEW, be REBORN.
