Grace, mercy, love...........

Hiya!

Let's carry on from yesterday. As I said, I have heard it said many many times that it's not about me, but about who God is. Whilst in the Cafe on Tuesday, I said to God - 'I really don't understand Jesus, what does this mean?'

Immediately a verse came straight into my mind :

"For He says to Moses,
“I will have mercy on whom I have mercy,
and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.”"
Romans 9 :15

I love gaining a better understanding of what I read so it really sticks, so I decided to read the whole chapter - Romans 9 (MEV)

It's God's purpose which prevails over all. Not what anyone else has to say and especially not what the devil has to say.

Galatians 1:3-5 speaks about one of the will of God :

"Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen."

Definition of Grace :  the free and unmerited favour of God

Peace :  No fear, torment, confusion, sense of lost, distrust and the list goes on.

The will of God is that through Christ, we are delivered from this present evil age. This is to say this "Will" is always valid because the evil age mentioned is always in the present term so this deliverance is always active.

This means in this very moment, if I have just committed a mistake or sin and I have confessed it, recognising my wrong doing and being fully naked before God, I receive forgiveness and I am delivered from this present evil age - the sin, mistake etc.

We HAVE to believe this, because if we can't believe it then unfortunately we can't receive the fullness of this amazing truth.

"But the Scripture has confined all things under sin, that the promise through faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe."
Galatians 3:22

And when we find it hard to believe?

"Immediately the father of the child cried out with tears, “Lord, I believe. Help my unbelief!”"
Mark 9 :24

Isn't it amazing that the bible has an answer for every question we could possibly ever ask?!

I'll stop here for today. I need to re-read over this a few times and think on it so I may really be changed by the Word.

I pray it is also blessing you.
