Firstly, read Acts 6. 8-15
In their hearts and minds, the words of Stephen greatly affected and convicted them, but in their physical face they showed no remorse. Many times we think when we speak the Word of God it does not reach or even awaken our family members, friends etc. Remember God sees the heart but man sees the physical, God places certain things in our mind and mouth to speak because He knows what they need and He knows what the Word will do even though we cannot see the heart and mind of the person. Our part is simply to obey.
